Manchester
1975 Live – The Songs From
(Mono) NAS_004
This is a fairly short 47 minute
CD of 16 songs from a show at the Free Trade Hall Manchester during 1975.
A clearly semi intoxicated Vivian started the proceedings, but his state
of sobriety didn’t detract from his ability to put on a raucous show.
The unused theme from That’ll Be The Day, Real Leather Jacket, gets
an airing as does a scurrilous ditty about Princess Anne. Worth the price
of ticket.
Sir
Henry: Live NAS_006
This is a completely spoken word
record. When appearing live Vivian would entertain the audience between
numbers with extracts of his Rawlinson End saga. The stories featured in
four performances during 1972, 1975, and 1991 have been cleverly edited
together into complete monologues.
Additionally found here is Vivian’s estuary version of ‘The
Bible In Modern Translation’ and the 1971 Peel radio session Rawlinson
End.
